The Differences in White Golden Retrievers

Golden Retrievers are considered among the most popular dog breeds in the country. Their family friendly character, strong intelligence and protective spirit make them an ideal family pet. Some may think that the different variations of Golden Retrievers only refers to their fur color, however they are mistaken. Even within the breed, these dogs have different traits and physical features. Let us take a moment to examine the differences in White Golden Retrievers.

True to its name, the White Golden Retriever appears white. Some look so white that they appear to be glowing. Along with the distinctive look of the Retriever’s fur, it also has a unique texture. Initially bred to be hunting dogs, Retrievers had to be able to maneuver around the woods quickly and without getting caught on brush or branches. Therefore, they have dense coats.

White Golden Retrievers have other distinct physical characteristics that distinguish them from others within their breed. They have longer noses, larger mouths and their heads have more of a squared shape. They tend to have larger bodies as well. At close examination, one can notice that the White Retrievers have darker eyes than their counterparts, and their ears are level with their eyes, rather than being behind and above the eyes as is expected in other Retrievers.

White Retrievers have distinct character traits as well. They are easy to train due to their pleasing nature. They are also gentle and laid back, making them perfect for families of any size. Being from a line of hunters, they can be very energetic as well, making them ideal companions for adventurous owners. White Retrievers are also considered very loving, which makes them excellent comfort dogs.

As a part of a favorite breed of dogs, White Golden Retrievers are already considered a popular pet option. However, once you consider their personal, distinct traits, they are even more desirable to the right owners. Their frosty white coat, facial features, and family friendly character make them unique choice for a loving family.
