Dog Friendly Spaces & Places

Dogs are man’s best friend and more and more pet owners want to bring them along when traveling and dining out. To accommodate demand and attract patrons, numerous hotels, restaurants and other establishments now welcome canines and are bending over backwards to accommodate their every need and be dog friendly.

Hotels

Some of the top luxury hotel chains have opened their doors to dogs in a very grand way.

  • W Hotels. W Hotels has rolled out the red carpet to its guests’ canines. At check-in, pooches get a toy, treat and pet goody bag. Groomers and veterinarians are on-call, and if your pet is celebrating a birthday, hotel staff can provide a cake.
  • Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. The Four Seasons is synonymous with fine living. Its hotels and resorts are found worldwide and pets larger than 15 pounds are welcome. Services may vary by location but typically include pet-sized beds, healthy snacks, access to veterinarians and walks at parks. Some even offer pet spa treatments.
  • Starwood Hotels. Starwood’s LTD (Love That Dog) pet loyalty program ensures your dog will receive the best possible service. Guests do not need to bring along many pet accessories because toys, collars, bowls and duvet beds are all available.

Restaurants

Dining with your dog can sometimes be a little tricky, but certain chains are known for being dog friendly.

  • Starbucks. Starbucks welcomes pets on their patios and decks, and encourage owners to enjoy a favorite beverage in the company of their canines.
  • Panera Bread. A casual café chain, Panera Bread serves tasty sandwiches, soups, salads and baked goods. Its outside dining areas are dog friendly.
  • Johnny Rockets. Johnny Rockets is known for its hamburgers, shakes, fries and entertaining dining experience. Pets are welcome on outside patios.
  • Joe’s Crab Shack. Joe’s Crab Shack serves seafood, pasta and sandwiches in a casual atmosphere and allows dogs on restaurant porches.

Including dogs on vacations and restaurant excursions is important to many pet owners. These examples are a few of the options available.
