What can I say this guy loves the snow. We got 37″ last weekend, what a storm. The records were all shattered but we got through it well. We even went down to the cove, which is only 1K feet away during the height of the storm to watch the storm surge and high tide. he loves running into he snow, even when it is taller than him. We are like little kids playing. I forgot to tell you that yes Kai did go down into the cove last month 10 degrees outside and he decides to go down into the cove where the rocks had ice all over them, he slide on his butt with his paws in front of him and is so happy down there. Even though there are 18 home sin our “Park” there are only 4 year rounder’s and we kid and call it Kai’s cove since he likes to go there everyday we can. he went down to the water and looked around for approval and I said okay and then in he went, swam around in a circle and then I made him come up. his fur froze right away but he didn’t care. I took him home and we dove in under the covers. Now he has his Jolly ball with the rope and we leave it outside. he loves it when the rope turns to ice. I also got him one with just a handle and it is historical to watch him roll it around on the snow and then he sinks down. he will sit for hours on top of the snow bank if it is sunny and warm. last spring he laid there while it melted one day. Kai is just the best dog, he has the sweetest personality, not unlike his owner. Can’t thank you enough. Still cannot believe this is a dog I never met until Alicia walked him off the airport in Boston. he loves Maine though, personally I would rather still be in Hawaii with him but…..Everyone loves him.
Spring is just around the corner. I saw bumper sticker last year that said “in order to enjoy the summer, you have to gone through the winter” it actually is really nice to have four distinct seasons. It is only the second winter so I imagine that won’t last for long. The good news is that Kai loves them all and he’s having fun and lives in a great home. he is also easy to wear down after a few hours of hard fun, he goes out like a light.
Aloha,
Jon and Kai
